Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said Kemp "championed free market principles that improved the lives of millions of Americans and helped unleash an entrepreneurial spirit that all of us still benefit from today."If you parse this, it is an open admission that the GOP asserts that it is OK for 1% (or less) of the population to control most of the money. (I hesitate to assign a figure to the money side of the equation because I am pretty sure that there is in fact no percentage high enough to satisfy this institutionalized level of greed.)
Earth to Mitch: We are still suffering from Reaganomics. Like cancer, there appears to be no cure except death.
Right on. Have you considered running for office? C'mon do it. The world needs you.

ReplyDeleteSince the original post, I learned about the sub-idiotic teabagging protest (see volumes of other people trying to mine that bbottomless pit of comedy gold) way after the fact, the Texas governor joked that Texas could leave the Union (no one laughed although a few applauded) and CNN is whining that the GOP is being picked on. "Stop throwing dirt on the grave." This metaphor perfectly apt but confusing because Rollins thesis is that the party isn't dead, but why a grave? Is this how the GOP faithful communicate - through uninterpretable rhetoric? Is there a hidden message? ("Get milk on the way home.")
