A typewriter!

March 20, 2011 A blogger who is serious might be very serious indeed if their posts are typed rather than ... what would be the word?
exotic. The apostrophe here is unique to typewriters and is called, logically enough, the typewriter apostrophe. More descriptively, it is called the vertical apostrophe. Another positive aspect is that one has to have a good grasp of the rules of word breaks. Knowing the etymologies of words makes this _ much easier.
