Laserdisc v. DVD
One thing you can do when you have a DVD and a laserdisc of the same movie is to play them simultaneously. This is good clean fun. It also gives a chance to compare an original version of the Star Trek episode, City on the Edge of Forever (DVD) and the sabotaged version (laserdisc). The sabotage was the replacement of source music to comply with some witless copyright issue. I have no other duplicates to compare.

Lies, damn lies and humorous captions
Received a humorous email:
To which I replied, "Surely that is a pummelo?"
"It's definitely not a lime," she said.
"There are other faulty assumptions. It may be that there is in fact no patient cat but that there is a sufficiency of tequila to simulate a patient cat."
"I think the tequila is a total fabrication, esp. considering THAT'S NOT A LIME."
What happens when you have
1) nothing to do
2) a sharp knife
3) a large lime
4) a patient cat
5) too much tequila
6) and it's football season?

Road to Bali (1952)
The Big Lift (1950)
The Lost World (1925)
Zulu (1964)
